Hand Made Memories

Generated image starting from a leica size BW film of my archive enlarged into a 10x12cm positive sheet film, hand coloured with aniline, added on sandwich with the same contact image negative film.

 

In these times of  easiness in the photography techniques I find the strongest motivations to have dedicated a lot of my time, many years ago, to charge with physicalness the already inherent uniqueness of the analogue B/W photography looking for anything that an image is capable to evoke.

My belief is that in the imperfection folds of the image, as well as of those of memories, there is space for our fantasies, our hopes and our aspirations for a different view of existence.
